National Apprenticeship Week

In the true spirit of National Apprenticeship Week, our Dowds Construction Contracts Manager Jonathon Pankhurst, represented the company at a careers fair in Ashfield Boys' High School in Belfast, where Jonathon was a former pupil.

Jonathon spent time with pupils in Year 12 and 13 educating them on the various career paths available with Dowds Group and within the Construction industry as a whole.

The Head of the Department of Engineering at Ashfield Boys' High School, commented on Jonathon’s contribution to the career fair,
“Great information supplied at this morning careers fair from Dowds Group representative Johnny Pankhurst. Extremely interesting career paths explained to pupils covering Electrical & Mechanical Services Engineering. All possible starting points explained commencing from Level 2 Apprenticeships and discussing potential management career progression roles in an informed well-grounded manner. Pupils were highly engaged and asked lots of relevant questions mainly due to the interaction and delivery from Johnny. Thank-you!!”
